Dear Russia,Every year, the Poppy Appeal goes round with poppies. Two people go round our school and they ask us if we want to donate money for a poppy. The whole of England do it too, we raise loads. Its are way of saying thankyou to those who fought the war. Every year at 11 o'clock on 11th November, there are two minutes silence. We remember those who died. It will be tomorrow when we have to do it. For the past weeks people in the Poppy Appeal comitee bring poppys through the whole of England. These poppies are used to help us remember people who have been badly injured whilst trying to save our lives.
Bye from Heron.
Heron,
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good tradition in England. In our town there is also a Comitee of veterans which is organized to help people who suffered during the WW2.
